Terms of Service for OceanTree
Age Restriction: This app is designed for children ages 2-5 and their parents/guardians. Users under 13 must have parental supervision and consent.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the OceanTree mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Parental Consent Required: Parents and guardians must review and accept these Terms on behalf of their children. By using the App, you represent that you are either a parent/guardian or have obtained parental consent.
2. Description of Service
OceanTree is an educational mobile application designed to help children ages 2-5 learn through interactive activities including:
- Alphabet and letter recognition
- Number and counting exercises
- Color identification
- Animal recognition
- Shape learning
- Interactive quizzes and games
3. App Setup and Usage
3.1 Initial Setup
- Parents/guardians must review and accept these Terms before using the App
- No account creation or registration is required to use the App
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental supervision to set up the App
- All app functionality operates entirely on your device
3.2 Age Range Selection
- During initial setup, parents can optionally select an age range for age-appropriate content
- The available age range options are:
- Toddler Learner (Ages 2–3)
- Early Preschool (Ages 3–4)
- Preschool Explorer (Ages 4–5)
- Prefer not to specify
- All data, including age range selection and progress data, is stored locally on your device
- Parents have full control over the age range selection and can change or remove it at any time through app settings
- Parents can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through device settings
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 Permitted Uses
You may use the App only for:
- Educational purposes for children ages 2-5
- Personal, non-commercial use
- Supervised learning activities
4.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use the App to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Transmit harmful, threatening, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without permission
5. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points include:
- We only collect an optional age range selection, which is stored locally on your device
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information
- All data is stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to our servers

- Parents have full control over their child's data stored on their device

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, audio, video, and software, are owned by OceanTree and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Third-Party Content
Some content in the App may be owned by third parties. We respect their intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.
7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Important Disclaimer: The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. But, we would follow apple guidelines, not to include any errors
7.1 Educational Content
- While we strive to provide accurate educational content, we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy
- Parents should supplement the App with other educational resources
- We are not responsible for the educational outcomes of using the App
7.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OceanTree shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
8. App Store Terms
These Terms supplement, and do not replace, the terms of service of the App Store from which you downloaded the App (Apple App Store). In case of conflict, the App Store terms shall prevail.
9. Updates and Modifications
9.1 App Updates
We may release updates to the App to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add new features. Updates may be automatic or require manual installation.
9.2 Terms Updates
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the App at any time and delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device settings.
10.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over deleting your data at any time.

- Parents can monitor progress and activity stored locally on their device
- Parents can modify or delete the age range selection at any time
- Parents can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data

The App requires:
- iOS 14.0 or later
- Internet connection only for downloading app updates from the App Store (no data is transmitted during normal app usage)
- Sufficient storage space for app data stored locally on your device
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved through binding arbitration.
